Back in the kitchen: Roman Castle celebrates one year since reopening

Alexandros Tserkezis, owner of Roman Castle in Mauston, said his passion for both service and food has again been reignited as he celebrates a year since the restaurant’s reopening.

Paired with fresh renovations and a deeper appreciation for his journey, Tserkezis said he is eager to welcome back customers for a hearty meal.

FISH CREEK – Before becoming a realtor, Maria Jacobs – a Brazil native and the 2024 REALTOR® of the Year – said she thought she’d have a career in the legal field.

However, a by-chance visit to Wisconsin, she said, would inspire a shift in her work plans.

“I moved to Door County in 2007 after graduating from law school in Brazil,” she said. “I had traveled to Door County during a gap year and fell in love with the energy of the peninsula.”
